UAE Company is preparing to implement the project “Five Shams” in the countryside of Damascus
Majid Al Futtaim Company announced that it has recently obtained approvals for the start of the implementation of some of the necessary infrastructure facilities for the development of the “Five Shams” project in Al Sabboura area, west of Damascus.
The company will then be able, at its own expense and subject to obtaining the required approvals, to complete the infrastructure works related to the planting, coordination and landscaping of the project interface on the two sides of the Damascus-Beirut International Highway, in addition to the road linking of the project with the motorway
Majid Al Futtaim said that with the launch of infrastructure works, the company hopes to contribute to the positive atmosphere prevailing in overcoming the difficulties that continue to impede the import of materials necessary to develop the project in accordance with international standards, and prevent the transfer of funds to establish and manage projects the size of the project “five Shamat “
The project is located in the area of Yaafour / Sabboura on the Damascus-Beirut highway, 17 km west of Damascus and is easily accessible from the city center in just 20 minutes.
The project will occupy an area of 1 million square meters, the largest shopping and entertainment center in Syria, and will include a group of hotels, a public square, parks, restaurants, commercial offices and tourist apartmentsThe cost of the project was estimated at US $ 1 billion
